MULTIBETON Quality & Cost Effectiveness

Quality

Quality occurs at each stage in the design, distribution and installation of underfloor heating (UFH) from MULTIBETON, specifically:

  1. MULTIBETON has the ultimate heating (and cooling) pipework product – its quality far exceeds the standards set
  2. Its manufacturing and quality control processes are rigorously managed and controlled.
  3. Its planning / design approach ensures that the right materials are specified and that the most efficient and effective piping layout is designed and that the correct quantities of all parts are assigned to each job.
  4. Its distribution system ensures that the right materials gets to the right place at the right time.
  5. Its installation method is unique and ensures that the work gets done correctly the first time.
  6. Its project management approach ensures that the client / project manager / QA achieves the necessary end result of a quality service with the associated documentation for regulatory conformances and integration with overall building work.
  7. Its customer service and attention to detail provides a client experience and support that provides “peace of mind” to the client.
  8. And we provide the client with quality MULTIBETON personnel throughout the service cycle.

We would like to show you a brief video (1:26 minutes long) of the quality control mechanisms at MULTIBETON:

Cost Effectiveness

MULTIBETON (MB) also strives to ensure that its service offering is cost effective. This is an important consideration particularly in economies / countries where high labour costs and productivity is a vital competitive consideration. MB has invested in the quality of its service offering to minimise labour costs.

UFH costs are based on a combination of the following:

  1. Insulation : Competitive insulation can cost up to twice the MB insulation, which uses standard insulation, due to the special properties required for the competitive insulation as it needs special fastening technology. This specialised insulation generally covers the entirety of the area to be covered by UFH, so this increases the extra expense required for the competitive offering.
  2. Fastening of pipework: Special fasteners are generally required by the competitive offering which can cost up to twice the simple steel clip rail used by MB. MB techniques avoids cold or sound bridges.
  3. Pipework: because of the technical capabilities invested in the MB pipework, it can cost up to twice the price of competitor piping per linear metre. However, MULTIBETON calculates the optimal pipe laying approach using modulation. Given such outstanding heat transmission as a result, you always need less piping than the competition.
  4. Manifold and Controls: the MB configuration can be significantly simpler than competitive products and up to half the cost
  5. Installation work: MB achieves significant saving in installation. The laying of MB pipework generally runs like clockwork. Not so with competitive installations – up to twice the cost in our estimation. Also when laying the hot (approx. 60 degrees) pipes using our clip rails, the pipe is free of tension, and is already filled, vented and connected to the distributor.
  6. Overhead / Admin expenses : Due to the well thought out and streamlined approach to the MB service offering, we are confident that these expenses can actually work out cheaper for our client.
  7. Saving in living space : Living space is a valuable possession. Through the use of MULTIBETON surface heating and cooling, you save 2-3 % in living space compared to wall-mounted radiators. All of the room, walls and windows are available for your free choice of interior-design ideas.

Our conclusion is that overall, MB is very competitive based on the totality of the MB service offering. It is a mistake just to compare costs on the basis of pipework alone and instead the totality of the service offering needs to be considered.  We are happy to prepare a quotation for you.
